We wanted to create this website to provide you with everything you could possibly need to know in the lead up to our special day. And as Jason is a successful Web & Graphic Designer it was an obvious choice to provide you with all the relevant information.

As the day draws nearer we will continue to add important information so it can act as one easy reference for everything you need to know.

We hope you can join us on our special day, just shout if you have any questions:

Jason - 07843 012 844
Melissa - 07916 733 187

The most important thing for us is that you are part of our special day and help us celebrate in style so gifts are by no means expected.

We have been together for many years and have everything we require for our home, if however you feel you would like to give us something, a contribution towards our dream honeymoon would be very much appreciated.

  • Dan is my best mate and has been for over 14 years. He was the obvious choice for best man; I can always rely on Dan no matter what. We met working part time at Maidstone Leisure Centre while both studying and got into all sorts of mischief that no doubt cemented our friendship.

When we hang out whether it’s at music festival, bar or just chilling indoors, one thing is always guaranteed; we will be laughing our heads off at something stupid!

Dan will be the one you spot at the bar, Jack Daniels in hand (probably a double), squinting at you because he forgot to put his contacts in. If you bump into him ask to see his Natalie Cassidy face!

  • Gem and I met at Nicola’s (one of my other beautiful bridesmaids) 14th birthday party and we immediately hit it off. Although we went to different schools, once we had moved on to collage all of us girls ended up working at Mote Park Leisure Centre. It was at this point our friendship grew and we discovered our passion for travelling.

Both Gem and I planned our 6 month trip around South Africa, Oz, New Zealand and Thailand and it was this adventure that cemented our friendship and bought us closer together (well who wouldn’t if you spent 260,640 minutes with one another).

Gem is so dependable, kind and just knows how I tick so asking her to be my Chief Bridesmaid made complete sense.

Gem will offer a calm influence to me on the day as I start to stress and turn into BrideZilla. I know Gem will just get on with everything with minimum fuss and I couldn’t imagine getting married without her by my side.

  • Philly Willy (he’ll hate me for calling him that) is my little brother. Growing up if I wasn’t protecting him from Matt I was probably punching him myself. With Phil what you see is what you get, he has a sensible head on his shoulders and would do anything for his mates, lucky for me then we are not just brothers but great friends.

A most excellent bro and an easy choice as Usher, Phil will be the one shouting and organising you all to where you need to be, don’t mess with him, he’s not so little anymore!

  • Not only is Helen one of my best friends, I will be lucky enough to call her my sister-in-law. Helen is married to Jason’s brother Matt and like J and I have been together for what feels like forever (in a good way of course).

I don’t know anyone else quite like Helen. Some say she is ditzy, but she has achieved so much and has proven she has the brains to become a qualified Solicitor. Not only does Helen have so much determination, she is flawless. She is the kind of friend you don’t want to have your photo taken next to the morning after as you can guarantee she looks polished whilst you look like you have been dragged through a bush backwards!

Helen is an amazingly loyal friend and will go out of her way to help. I have been so pleased to share the experience and the agony of organizing our Wedding’s to the Batt brothers.

On the day, Helen will be the quiet one, but you just wait until she has a drink… that’s the Helen I know and love and proud to call my friend!

  • The middle child, Matt is a little bit bonkers and never fails to make me laugh (or shock me). We have the same group of mates, so are as much friends as we are brothers and I’d have it no other way. Matt is a jack of all trades but annoyingly a master of them all and a bit of a perfectionist to say the least!

Matt will enjoy every minute of being an Usher but more importantly will make sure that I have fun on the day while keeping me calm whether it be by joke or hip flask! He’ll be the one walking across the dance floor on his hands.

  • Sarah and I are life-long friends starting our friendship when we were just 3 years old. Living only a few doors away from one another we were inseparable with endless sleepovers and mum’s dinners.

Even as we moved to different schools, our friendship remained. Whenever we get together we seem to revert back to those cheeky little schoolgirls!

To me Sarah represents true friendship, as no matter what life throws at us, I know she will always be there to lend an ear or to make me smile. Sarah is such a massive part of my life and getting married without her is unthinkable.

Sarah will be the crazy influence that will keep everyone laughing on the day (that’s if she can stop crying)!

  • I’ve known Scott for a long time, a Del boy wheeler dealer, but that’s why he has succeeded in business and I’ve definitely learnt a few things to help me in running my company. Another friend from the Leisure Centre days, that place has a lot to answer for!

Scott has been an awesome mate over the years, always level headed, it wouldn’t matter if we hadn’t seen each other for 2 days or 2 months we’d still find something to talk about. Watch out for him if he’s had a drink on the day, he’ll be the one telling you he’s “absolutely pickled”.

  • Nic and I became friends in secondary school through our love of the arts. All through school we both took part in every production and concert the Cornwallis had to offer.

Both of us continued on to college to do Beauty Therapy and together with Gem & Helen worked at the ‘famous’ Mote Park. Throughout our time there, and as friends and relationships changed – our friendship didn’t.

Nic is such a caring person who has many quirks and continually surprises me. She is unique in everyway and I wouldn’t have her any other way! Nic will be the blonde bombshell strutting her amazing dance moves.

  • I met Steve when we were around 13. Forced on each other by our parents who are great friends, a footy kick about soon sorted out any awkwardness. Living just two streets apart we became good mates over the years that followed and ended up at Uni together on the same course.

Steve is a party animal a bit of a nomad; some say he lives his life one party at a time; I’d have to agree if our trips to Mexico are anything to go by! He will certainly liven up the day and if you need to find him, he’ll be the one pulling the Usain Bolt pose in front of any camera that will accommodate him.

The big day will be taking place at:

Winters Barns
Winters Farm,
Nackington Road,
Canterbury,
Kent. CT4 7AY

The ceremony will be taking place at 1:30pm, please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to make sure you don’t miss it (at the latest 1pm). Melissa & Jason are hoping for a beautiful outside ceremony in the old cart barn to show their love and commitment to one another.

Don’t worry we have a back-up should our lovely British weather play up!

The evening celebrations will commence at 7:30pm. Make sure you bring your dancing shoes ready for good old fashioned knees up with lots of eating, drinking & dancing.
